Hi friends 🙂

I know it’s been a while since I promised I’ll write all about my first product review, but I have been crazy busy the past few days! Also I wanted to take my time trying out this new product.

So what is this all about? Well a few weeks ago I heard about the opportunity to attend a bloggers event for the launch of this really cool protein water 🙂 Unfortunately since there are quite a few of us out there I wasn’t successful at getting a place for the event, but I really REALLY wanted to try it! So I emailed the company and asked for a few bottles in order to write a product review… Why am I saying all this? Because to me it’s very important how people respond and treat you and I have to admit even before I tried their protein water  I was impressed with their costumer/marketing services! I am always pro companies that care for and respect the people who use their product! So now let’s get down to it shall we??

As many of you know a few days a week I run/commute home from the lab. This is a good 6.5 miles right after being on my feet at work for about a 10-hour day. What does that mean? It means that I was on the look out for a pre run snack that would give me energy but not make me feel full/heavy and a post run snack that would help me recover but not make me not hungry for dinner… Now you are thinking “yeah right…”. I tried gels, oat bars but nothing made me feel quite like I wanted to… Until I actually tried the PROTEIN WATER from “forgoodnessshakes“.

I had half of it about 20′ before my run and then the other half the moment I got home (I was so excited with the way I felt that I actually called @mymamus to take a few pictures of me right that day!! So yeah apologies if I don’t look my best LOL! But I always aim to keep it real here!) Also, size wise it fits in my running bag like a charm! No more trying to squeeze my protein shaker bottle in there anymore… Which by the way jiggles ALL the time, and drives me mad! The second time I tried it I also had a few sips of it during my run 🙂

So down to business, what about nutritional values?

The fact that it is water based it means you can drink it during your run as well for hydration (something I never wanted to do with actual protein powder cause it makes me sick when I run…). Why not use a gel? well honestly, for me, even thought gels are useful during a race I rarely use them anywhere but in a race or a long (and I do mean long…) run. When I am thirsty I need WATER, or now PROTEIN WATER since it actually feels as refreshing! 😀

So, all and all, I will be using it PROTEIN WATER from now on. It is cheaper than most energy drinks (just as an example Protein Water is £2.75/bottle at Sainsbury’s whereas Lucozade is £3.50/bottle – nothing against this particular brand I am just using it as a baseline) and has way more protein and way less sugar in it!!

So, this is what I think about this new protein water 🙂 and I really think that most runners will appreciate it as well! Try it and let me know what did you think of it, or you can always shoot an email to the company and let them know what do you think of it 😉 They are pretty good at listening to their costumers!

Have an awesome day every one!
