Hi friends 🙂
I know, I know it’s been a while… Well we came back on Sunday night and I spent most of Monday unpacking, tidying up, cleaning and grocery shopping. It’s unreal how much stuff one has to do after two weeks of being away… LOL! 😀 But now we are all settled and I am more than ready to start my very first Marathon Training Cycle! Woo Hoo!!!
Yesterday was my very first run for this training cycle 🙂 And I decided on my “Support Marilena t-shirt” for some good vibes!
I finally got to use my new Garmin and took on of those awesome pictures of it that i keep seeing on social media! 😀
6.2 miles easy @ 10:23/mile pace (pace on the watch is slower due to me stopping at a crossing right before the end of my run 😉 )
According to my training plan (given to me by my coach Maria Polyzou), for now I will be running 4 times a week and I will try to squeeze in there at least 1 or 2 cross training days. Busy busy busy…
I have to admit yesterday’s run was just a little hard 😦 not pace wise but leaving from THIS –>
and coming to THIS –>
But to be totally honest I run better when it is not melting hot outside! So really, no complains 🙂
As for accountability, well I have you guys!!! I will be doing a weekly update post (I believe on Sundays or Mondays – let’s see how it ‘ll work out), like the ones Carly does for her own marathons. I find this idea great since it could keep me accountable, honest and also helps with keeping a record of what i have done during training. Of course I’ll still write on my favourite training journal 😉
