Hope you guys had a great weekend!
It was pretty relaxed for us around here and I also had a crazy work week – won’t get any better till christmas I am afraid… But that’s OK I am totally loving being busy 😉
So…this week training got in the back burner I have to admit (also I was super sore from my crazy obstacle run during both Monday and Tuesday…).
I did only one 5km run on Wednesday and… MY VERY FIRST 20 MILER on Saturday! Yup, that is big news! I took it slow and steady and got it done in 3:21:54 – with an average pace of 10:09/mile. Unfortunately I don’t know my stats since I had to go old school with this one.
Yeah… my Garmin had an unfortunate run in with the washing machine 😦 but that’s a story for another time! Also I think I look rather discombobulated – always loved that word LOL – in the photo above but I believe after 20 miles a person is meant to look (and feel like that…)!
I got home, had an ice bath and a nice stretch and then ALL the food!! hahaha! Also, so very thankful for my audio book! 20 miles can be a long way to go and I knew music wouldn’t cut it…
