Hello everyone 🙂
I hope you are doing well! Here in London we’ve been enjoying an incredibly forgiving weather up until Saturday. Sunny and warm and oh so summery, even though it didn’t last for the full holiday weekend it was still pretty awesome!
So, a few days ago I was looking through different labs in the States and potential opportunities for after my PhD, and the it hit me “wow, i am finishing in just a little over a year…”. I can’t believe @mymamus and I have already been here for two years now. Time flies indeed!
This was the trigger for me to create a little “London Bucket list” with all the places I’d like to visit and all the things I’d like to do before our big move back to the States – no idea where yet though LOL…
See a performance at the Shakespeare globe theatre
Visit Kew Gardens
Go to a terrarium building workshop
Visit Brighton – which is totally classified as a coast gem in the UK’s top beach destinations (I know not exactly London but I really really believe this place totally deserves to be on the list!)
Got to the War rooms museum – this are the real (almost unattached) bunkers from where Churchill was coordinating the British troops during WW2 :O
Climb Snowdonia 😀 Totally can’t wait for that one but I do need to find some company for it – since @mymamus isn’t big on hiking and can’t really enjoy this together…
Visit Convent Garden – which according to my best friend, who she is been in London for 16 years, is one of THE best place to be!
Visit Camden market – again best friend’s recommendation 🙂
So this is what I have for now and it’ll definitely grow of course! To any of my London based friends, any suggestions of must-see things would be super appreciated since I am sure that there are way more things for someone to visit/see/experience in London!
Have an awesome week everyone!! ❤
